The Internet Leads the Way for Vision 2020

Northeast Indiana hopes to become a major player in the commercial world by 2020, through a large collective initiative known as Vision 2020. Specific targets of this initiative include the so-called Competitive Business Pillar, which is currently a priority for 2013. It involves creating the foundations that will make the region a business-friendly environment that will complement its already-existing industries like automotive, finance, and education in Fort Wayne.

Arguably, this initiative cannot take off without the proper marketing strategies, since nobody can create a business-friendly environment without attracting said business in the first place. With much of the world making use of the Internet these days, one can argue that Internet marketing is the only way to go. Doing so will also coincide with Vision 2020's plans for Indiana's infrastructure, which is to provide reliable broadband and fiber-optic Internet access to everyone.

The benefits of internet marketing can't be readily discounted. Through it, businesses can reach out to more people, create and maintain customer relationships, and obtain useful data about consumer behavior that can help them create the marketing strategies of tomorrow. Internet marketing can also help businesses establish partnerships with one another; a vital characteristic that makes any region into a business-friendly environment.
